Who We Are

The Maywood Economic Solidarity  Alliance is a community-led, business support network that aims to revitalize and empower its neighborhood by meeting the needs of current micro-entreprises and nonprofit organizations in the area. This innovative model is structured as a cooperative - an entity that is owned and controlled jointly by its members, who receive its services and share benefits.
The alliance is made up of Black and Latinx entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders who for the last two years have come together to envision how to work together, support each other and pull resources collectively.

 MESA’s mission is to inspire, empower and support groups rooted in Maywood to collectively restore, own and determine their economic, political and social future.
